5* Showjumping in Doha

Two fantastic weeks of showjumping at the amazing facilities of Al Shaqab have come to an end.

Both Cristel, Label D’amour and the Stal Bruynseels team gave 100% to make this first 5* competition of the season amazing.

On the first weekend during the Commercial Bank CHI Al SHAQAB Presented by Longines, Label (the 2010 stallion by Landadel) ended his first weekend with a speedy clear round in the 1.50 class.

On the second weekend opening the Longines Global Champions Tour 2022 season with the Prague Lions, Niels managed to qualify in the CSI5* GCL of Doha round 1 individual classification. After another strong clear round, he finished 8th with the 12-year-old mare Cristel (Diamant de Semilly).

Later for the team qualifying both Niels and teammate Pieter Devos delivered clear rounds to land the team a provisional 3rd place. Finishing up the team competition in Doha for the Prague Lions, on the 2nd round both teammates, Niels and Pieter had an unlucky last pole done which left the lions on the overall ranking with the 6th place.
