Matador 2nd in the CSI2* GP of Lier!

After the successful show at the Brussels Stephex Masters in Wolvertem, Niels stayed close to home again last weekend and took a few horses to Azelhof in Lier, where the Horseman Masters were on the program.

The established values enjoyed a weekend off, so Niels counted on a number of upcoming talents at the home base of the Hazebroek family, including the 9-year-old gelding Matador. At the beginning of July, Niels and Matador already secured a 4th and 6th place during the second week of Knokke Hippique and continued their good form last weekend. After they already managed to ensure a clear round during the 1.45m main class in the opening day on Friday, a great performance followed on Sunday during the CSI2* GP. Niels and Matador remained clear in the basic round and after a jump-off for which 12 combinations were able to qualify, they finished in a brilliant 2nd place.

Niels also provided some strong rounds in Lier with Nouvelle D'Or Van 't Misthof, who has been in our stable since the end of last year. Both on Friday and Sunday all poles remained neatly in the cups and Nouvelle D'Or showed that she can be an important asset for the future.

Finally, Niels also made his debut with the stallion Dr. Touch De Tiji and this also went smoothly. Three days in a row, Niels and Dr. Touch De Tiji ensured a clear round with a nice 8th place in the final class on Sunday.
