One jump too much at CSI5* -W Madrid

Niels' fourth World Cup of the indoor season was scheduled in Madrid last weekend. Niels had chosen to travel with Delux van T&L and Ilusionata van 't Meulenhof this time.

Ilusionata got off to a good start with a clear round in the 1m55 class and a 14th place as a result. Delux also started well with one time penalty in the 1m45 opening class on Friday.

On Saturday only Ilusionata appeared at the start. She finished on a 12th place in a difficult 1m50 class with 4 penalty points! For Delux there was a rest day, so that the son of Toulon was extra fresh for the World Cup on Sunday...

Niels’ plan seemed to work perfectly, because Delux jumped fantastic in the Madrid World Cup! Even the difficult triple combination turned out to be no problem at all and also the rest of the course went smoothly until… the last oxer came down. Finished on four penalty points and unfortunately no extra world cup points this time.
