Las Vegas here we come!

"What's our plan for the World Cup Final?" It’s a question that was asked several times the last few weeks in our stable. With a total of 43 points Niels was almost certain of a ticket to Las Vegas after Jumping Amsterdam. But with which horse could he make the journey to the world's largest gambling city in the beginning of April? Delux Van T&L and Gancia de Muze were his regular partners in the World Cups last winter and were therefore eligible, but this did not really fit in the planning that Niels had in mind ... Gancia should be jumping the Global Champions Tours of Mexico City and Miami and for Delux there is a special program focused on a possible participation in the Olympic Games in Tokyo. So we came to Ilusionata van 't Meulenhof. Just a small detail, she hadn't jumped a World Cup yet ... A requirement to be able to start in Las Vegas of course.

And so Illusionata was debuted in the World Cup circuit in Bordeaux last weekend. A few weeks ago she already proved that she’s in a great form in the Grand Prix of Basel and also in the French wine town she didn’t disappoint! Moreover, in her first World Cup, she immediately jumped to a brilliant 3rd place, so that Niels not only had certainty about his participation in the final, but also had a horse with whom he could get to the start!

And also Luca Van ‘t Eigenlo, who made his 5-star debut two weeks ago in Amsterdam, showed himself again with a neat clear round in Saturday's 1m45 class.
