Scarlina de Tiji Z impresses

After a year of interruption, we were finally able to enjoy international show jumping again last week on the beautiful grounds of Knokke Hippique. Because there were five days of jumping on three different arena’s in Knokke, many riders could also bring their less experienced horses at the start in order to gain some extra experience and rhythm. Niels also took this opportunity to travel with a lot of horses to our Belgian coast.

In the young horse classes, for example, he started with the mare Scarlina de Tiji Z and she made a strong impression by jumping a nice clear round for three days. During the finals on Sunday, Niels and Scarlina were one of the 12 combinations that managed to qualify for the jump-off, in which they finished 7th after another clear round.

Niels also jumped into the spotlight in Knokke with Nabeau Van Het Migroveld Z in the classes of the CSI3* competition. The first two days they ensured a clear round twice and only in the Grand Prix on Sunday did Nabeau get a fault in the course.

Last week Niels counted on Diornella-D for the classes of the CSI5* competition. During the opening day, a pole in the 2nd phase kept them out of the top 5 of the ranking in the opening class, but a day later a nice 3rd place followed in the 1.40m class.
